Commissioning should prove more than basic connectivity. A professional acceptance process verifies the physical installation, data model, operational response, failure behaviour and controlled documentation needed for long-term support.
Pre-energisation review
- Confirm supply voltage, polarity, protective devices and earthing.
- Check terminal identification, commons, sensor types and load current.
- Inspect RS-485 topology, termination, bias and shield practice.
- Verify product revision, firmware and approved drawings.
Channel and communication tests
Exercise every input and output, including diagnostic and fault states. Verify counters at low and high rate, confirm filter selection, test output inrush, and read back commanded and actual status. Record the Modbus address, serial format, response delay and register-map revision.
Functional and failure tests
- Test power-up states and communication-loss values.
- Interrupt the network and confirm watchdog response.
- Validate local logic, pattern, sequence, annunciation and PWM behaviour where enabled.
- Verify alarm routing, acknowledgement and maintenance ownership.
- Confirm recovery after reboot, reset and restoration of communications.
Handover
Provide as-built wiring, network schedule, I/O list, register map, configuration backup, threshold record, commissioning results and spare-parts information. Train operations and maintenance personnel on normal indicators, faults and approved reset procedures.
Technical basis: PyXis Smart 3-Axis Vibration Sensor TTN-DS-2026-002 and Titania Modbus DI-8 DO-8 TTN-DS-2026-001, both issued 19 July 2026. Confirm the current hardware, firmware and controlled document revision before implementation.
