Operators need immediate local indication even when the supervisory network is unavailable. Titania can map selected input conditions to protected high-side outputs and operate steady or flashing indications through its alarm-annunciator functions.

Define the indication philosophy

Assign clear meanings to green, amber, red, blue and audible states. Decide which conditions are latched, which follow the input directly and which require acknowledgement. Avoid creating multiple indications that communicate the same event differently.

Configure local behaviour

  • Select the input-channel mask and active-high or active-low interpretation.
  • Choose steady or blinking output behaviour and the flash interval.
  • Map output channels to stack-light segments and siren circuits.
  • Set power-up and communications-loss values so the indication fails predictably.

Electrical design

Verify each load current, inrush and inductive behaviour against the output limits. The documented output is a protected high-side 24 VDC source; use appropriate external interposing devices where the load, voltage or safety category requires them.

Operations integration

Mirror local annunciation states in the PLC or SCADA and retain output fault feedback. Commission the system with operators so colours, flash patterns, acknowledgement and reset behaviour are understood and documented.
